Video Player
Play local files or streams in the browser
How to Use
No media player installed and just want to watch a clip? Or have an m3u8/mp4 link you'd like to play in a web page? Drop a local video file or paste a video URL and it plays immediately, with standard controls for seek, volume and fullscreen.
How to use: pick a local video file (mp4/webm/mov or any browser-supported format), or paste a direct video URL and hit "Play". Local files are decoded by your browser and never uploaded; remote URLs require the host to allow cross-origin access.
FAQ
Are local videos uploaded?
No. Local files are decoded directly through the browser's Blob mechanism — data never passes through our servers, and playback even works offline.
Why won't some formats play?
Playback depends on your browser's codecs: MP4 (H.264) and WebM are widely supported, while containers like MKV and RMVB can't be decoded natively. Convert those to MP4 first.
Why does an m3u8 link fail to play?
Common causes: 1) the link expired or needs authentication; 2) the host doesn't send CORS headers; 3) segment URLs point to an internal network. Test the URL directly in an HLS-capable browser like Safari to check validity.
