RMB Amount to Uppercase Chinese

Convert RMB amounts to uppercase Chinese financial notation

How to Use

Uppercase Chinese amount notation is the standard form for finance, contracts and invoices, using characters such as 壹贰叁肆伍陆柒捌玖拾佰仟万亿元角分整 to prevent tampering. This tool converts numeric RMB amounts into uppercase Chinese following common financial rules.

How to use: enter a number (up to 12 integer digits, with up to two decimal places) and click "Convert". When the integer part is non-zero and there is no decimal, or only the 角 (tenths) place, "整" is appended; "整" is omitted when the 分 (hundredths) place is present. Processing runs locally in your browser.

FAQ

When is 「整」 appended and when is it omitted?

By common rules: when the integer part is non-zero and the decimal is all zero, or only the 角 (tenths) place is present, 「整」 is appended; when the 分 (hundredths) place is present, 「整」 is omitted. When the integer part is zero, output starts from the decimal and 「元」/「整」 are not appended (unless the amount is exactly 0).

What amount range is supported?

The integer part supports up to 12 digits (trillion level) and the decimal part up to 2 digits. Out-of-range input will trigger an error. This tool does not perform currency exchange — it only formats numbers into uppercase Chinese characters.
