Size and background
Drag the slider for live fine-tuning; press Generate again after changing the size or background.
How to Use
Exam sign-ups, job applications and visa forms all ask for 1-inch or 2-inch ID photos, and a photo studio visit costs time and money. This maker does the cropping and layout in your own browser: pick a photo and a size, and the picture is center-cropped to the target ratio, with a slider to fine-tune the vertical position.
How to use: select a front-facing photo, choose a preset (1-inch 295x413, 2-inch 413x579, small 1-inch 260x378, large 2-inch 413x626 pixels), adjust the vertical slider if needed, then press "Generate" to preview and download. If your photo is a transparent-background cutout, you can also lay down a white, blue, red or custom color behind it. Everything is processed locally - photos are never uploaded, and no account is required.
FAQ
What are the sizes of 1-inch and 2-inch ID photos?
1-inch is 295x413 pixels (about 25x35 mm) and 2-inch is 413x579 pixels (about 35x49 mm). Small 1-inch (260x378) and large 2-inch (413x626) presets are also included. Output is PNG, ready to print at 300 DPI.
When does the background color take effect?
The background is laid beneath the photo: it stays invisible behind an opaque JPG, but if your photo is a transparent-background cutout PNG, picking a color fills it in and produces a standard ID photo.
Will my photos be uploaded?
No. Cropping, fine-tuning and background filling are all done locally through the browser's Canvas. Photos never touch a server, and the open page even works offline.
